How we taste & rate Club members each have a tasting profile. This gives new members help in guiding them to tasting notes from individuals with similar likes and dislikes to them. In addition, we try to really express the true complexity of the wine by giving it a serious tasting. First, we do a blind tasting to avoid prejudice based on favorite vineyards or attactive bottle marketing. We judge the color, clarity and smell of the wine. We taste the wine with our nose open and closed to really extract the aromas of the the wine. Finally, we catalog all of this information for future reference to facilitate the ability to know which wines to purchase for an upcoming event (if you liked it).
